I often comment on new members that join our congregation and
quickly settle in and find a place of ministry among us. Well, God blessed
us with a wonderful mother and daughter duo in sending us sister Dion and
little miss Sara. Sister Terry is a member of the Single’s Ministry, the
Pastor Assistance Ministry and mentors with our GAPP Ministry. She is also
a part of the W.G.I. and is actively dedicated to Sunday School.
Sister Terry recently
volunteered to share in Pastor’s vision of an Intentional Care and Share
Visitation Ministry especially designed to consistently touch the lives of
our seniors and shut in. It’s always exciting to see people step up and
volunteer for sacrificial service without a charge attached to it, what a
rare blessing! God has provided many such persons with giving, willing
spirits among us and Dion is just another blessing that was excited to be
asked to serve.
As I alluded to above, Dion
is the mother of Sara who stepped out on the chancel and lead us in a
melodies solo with the Voices of Hope on the fourth Sunday in December.
