Ms. Virginia Sellars
September 2009

Today
I am humble and honored to present as our member of the month: Ms. Virginia
Sellars. Though she is not with us in worship, she is definitely missed, but
she is with us in spirit. Presently Sister Sellars is at the Edgewood Place
recovering from an accident. Let’s continue to pray for her and visit with
her.
Sister Sellars, a veteran educator has
touched so many lives at church and in the community and even though she is
going through a period of sickness, she still possesses that familiar and
friendly smile and she is still motivating us with words of encouragement
and inspiration.
Sister Sellars is the chairperson of
Missionary Circle #1 a position she has held for a long time, leading that
group to be involved in local and global mission efforts. She is also apart
of the Senior Choir and the Sunday School. Sister Sellars has served in the
Executive Council, she has served as church historian on the Church
Constitution Committee and numerous other positions in this church. She is a
pioneer and a tremendous model of Christian womanhood.
God places among us those whose lives can be
emulated and that is what He has done by blessing us with Sister Sellars.
She is a positive role model and a force for good both in the church as well
as the community.
Today is truly a day of
celebration as we honor Ms. Virginia Sellars as our October 2009 member of
the month. |
